1. Overview
BrainyCalculators ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy covers both the BrainyCalculators website and the Brainy Puzzle Collection mobile application. It explains what information we collect and how we use it.
BrainyCalculators — Website
Information We Do NOT Collect
All calculator inputs and results are processed entirely within your browser using JavaScript. We do not:
- Store any calculation data on our servers
- Require you to create an account
- Collect your name, email, or financial data through calculators
Information We Do Collect
We collect limited, anonymized data to improve our service:
- Usage analytics — page views, traffic sources (via Google Analytics or similar, anonymized)
- Contact form submissions — only when you voluntarily fill in our contact form
- Browser preferences — dark mode preference stored in your browser's localStorage (not sent to us)
Advertising
We may display advertisements via Google AdSense or similar networks. These third parties may use cookies to show relevant ads. We do not control the data practices of our advertising partners. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details.
Cookies
We use only strictly necessary cookies for session management. No tracking cookies are set by BrainyCalculators directly. Third-party services (analytics, ads) may set their own cookies.
Brainy Puzzle Collection — Mobile App
This section applies specifically to the Brainy Puzzle Collection app available on Android and iOS. The app includes puzzle games such as Arrow Escape, Sudoku, Direction Lock, Tile Challenge, Number Link Escape, and Weight Balance.
Information We Do NOT Collect
Brainy Puzzle Collection does not collect or require:
- Your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information
- An account or user registration of any kind
- Location data
- Camera, microphone, or contacts access
- Payment or financial information
Information We Do Collect
To save your puzzle progress and support gameplay, the app collects:
- Anonymous device identifier — a randomly generated ID stored on your device, used solely to save and restore your puzzle progress across sessions. This ID is not linked to you personally.
- Gameplay progress — levels completed, scores, and session duration, tied only to the anonymous device ID above.
- Crash and diagnostic reports — anonymized technical data (e.g., device model, OS version) to help us fix bugs. No personal data is included.
How We Use This Data
- Saving and syncing your puzzle progress
- Improving game performance and fixing bugs
- Understanding which puzzle types are most popular (aggregated, not individual)
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Advertising
The app may display ads provided by third-party ad networks (such as Google AdMob). These networks may collect anonymized device identifiers and interaction data to serve contextually relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"
Offline Play
Brainy Puzzle Collection can be played fully offline. Progress is stored locally on your device and optionally synced to our servers using your anonymous device ID when a connection is available.
Children's Privacy
Brainy Puzzle Collection is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because we collect only anonymous device identifiers and gameplay data with no ability to identify individual users, the app complies with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and similar regulations. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Data Retention
Anonymous gameplay progress is retained as long as it is needed to provide the service. You may reset your progress at any time from within the app, which also deletes the associated device ID data from our servers.
Third-Party SDKs
The app may include third-party SDKs for analytics and advertising. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Google AdMob / Firebase — subject to Google's Privacy Policy
2. Third-Party Links
Our website and app may link to external websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties.
3. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website or app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
4. Contact
